Family Support and Resources

Embedded in each of our programs is the understanding that kids don’t live in a vacuum. When Family Connections staff interact with families whether in a Family Playroom, a SPARK visit, or a Parent Cafe, they provide each family with support and resources. We work to ensure families have a larger network of support including other families, community members, and partner organizations. Our 2-gen approach helps to ensure that parents & caregivers are equipped to guide children through early childhood.
Ages & Stages Questionnaire
The Ages & Stages Questionnaire is a parent-completed set of questions that screens and assesses the developmental performance of children in the areas of communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, problem solving, and personal-social skills. The ASQ is available at all of our Family Playrooms for all families with children 4 months-5 years. All of our SPARK families receive the ASQ and ASQ-SE (Social Emotional) screeners for their 3 & 4 year olds.
Parent Cafe
A round-table conversation led by our staff for parents and caregivers to discuss the joys and challenges of raising children.
